Steve March

Steve couples 16 years of experience in software, systems, and process design and management with 12 years of application of leading edge personal and leadership development approaches. Steve is an experienced change leader, manager, coach, facilitator, and educator. He is known for his centered presence, innovative insight, and patient yet persistent style of engagement. He is committed to generating significant value for his clients through developing their careers and living fulfilling and satisfying lives.

In 2002, Steve founded Compassionate Coaching. Through this company he offers personal effectiveness coaching to leaders in corporations, non-profits, and in life. A partial list of clients includes Genentech, HP, NASA, The San Francisco Foundation, and ACCBank (Ireland).

In additional to being a Senior Faculty member at BSU, Steve is the Vice President of Leadership Programs for Integral Leadership, a subsidiary of New Ventures West, the world’s leading Integral Coach training company. In addition to this work, Steve is also on the faculty of New Ventures West where he designs and leads classes that consistently receive high praise from participants.

Previously, Steve has held positions at Wind River, Motorola Computer Group, Motorola Cellular Subscriber Group, The Army Corps of Engineers, and The University of Illinois.

Steve is a Certified Somatic Coach from Strozzi Institute (2005), a Certified Integral Coach from New Ventures West (2002), an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited coach training program, and a Certified Coaching to Excellence trainer (2002).

Steve currently lives in Oakland, California. He enjoys rock climbing, tennis, yoga, qigong, Zen meditation, and volunteering his time cook for homeless teens.
